How to Install and Set Up the Ask AI Chrome Extension

About the Ask AI Chrome Extension

The Ask AI Chrome Extension enables the AI assistant to interact with webpages on your behalf. When you grant permission, it can open websites, click buttons, type text, scroll pages, and complete various browser-based tasks that require web interaction.

Installation Methods

You can install the extension in one of two ways: directly from the Chrome Web Store or through an automated prompt within the CRM's Ask AI feature.

Method 1: Install Directly from Chrome Web Store

Visit the Ask AI extension listing in the Chrome Web Store using the direct link provided by your CRM administrator or support documentation. On the store page, click the Add to Chrome button. A dialog will appear showing the permissions the extension requires. Review these permissions and click Add extension to complete the installation.

Method 2: Install Through Ask AI Prompt

Navigate to the Ask AI interface from the main left-hand menu in your CRM. Enter a request that would typically require browser interaction, such as "Open Google Docs and create a new document." If the Ask AI feature determines it needs the extension to complete your request, it will prompt you to install it. Select Install when this prompt appears. You will be automatically redirected to the extension's Chrome Web Store listing where you can complete the installation as described above.

Using the Extension

Once installed, the extension works seamlessly in the background. When you ask the AI to perform a task that involves web browsing, it will automatically utilize the extension if needed. You do not need to manually activate the extension for each task.
