Using History for GPT Actions (AI Memory Key)

What's New?

We've enhanced GPT actions in your CRM with a powerful new feature: history retention. Now, GPT actions can remember past interactions and use that context to deliver more relevant, personalized responses.

Types of History

There are five types of history you can store:

  • This Sub Account: Remembers all GPT conversations across every workflow in the current sub account.
  • This Workflow: Remembers all GPT conversations within the workflow where this history type is set.
  • Per Execution: Remembers all GPT conversations within the workflow for a single execution.
  • This Step: Remembers all GPT conversations for this specific action across multiple executions.
  • Custom: Allows you to create a custom history type that can be used within the same workflow or across multiple workflows.

How to Use

To enable history for GPT actions:

  1. Enable the option in Labs.
  2. Select the "GPT Powered By OpenAI" action.
  3. Switch on "Enable history".
  4. Choose a "History for" option from the dropdown menu.
  5. Add any necessary system instructions.

Advanced Options

System Instructions

You can add instructions to provide more context or specific rules for the GPT action to follow. These instructions help tailor the output to your needs.

Exclude Instructions from History

Toggle this option if you want to prevent system instructions from being stored in the history.

Exclude Responses from History

Enable this toggle if you don't want the responses from this action to be saved in history. This is useful for outputs like sentiment analysis or analytics data.

Points to Note

  • When "Enable History" is turned on, GPT-4 models are selected by default.
  • History only works for the "Custom" action type.
  • History is maintained independently for each contact.
