What is Ask AI Memory?
Ask AI Memory is a feature that helps the AI assistant within your CRM learn and recall important details about you and your work. It saves key pieces of information—such as your role, business specifics, or communication preferences—so you don't have to repeat them in every conversation. This allows the AI to provide more personalized and relevant assistance over time.
Key Benefits of Using Ask AI Memory
This feature is designed to make your interactions with the AI more efficient and tailored to your needs.
- Personalized Responses: The AI can incorporate your saved details, like your business industry or preferred tone, to craft answers that are more relevant to you.
- Less Repetition: You can avoid re-entering the same background information at the start of every new chat session.
- Smarter Conversations: Recent memories are automatically included in the AI's thought process, giving it better context for follow-up questions.
- Automatic Capture: The AI can identify and save meaningful facts from your conversations in the background without disrupting the flow.
- Memory Import: You have the option to import your saved context from other AI platforms, such as ChatGPT or Claude, when this feature is available.
When to Use Ask AI Memory
This feature is most valuable for information that you want the AI to remember and apply across multiple future interactions.
- Your job title, department, or team structure.
- Specific details about your business, like its name, industry, or location.
- Your preferred writing style, tone, or formatting for responses.
- Recurring instructions or workflow preferences you want the AI to follow.
- Context related to ongoing projects or standard operating procedures.
How Ask AI Memory Works
Saving Memories
The AI is designed to intelligently capture useful, reusable information rather than saving every single message. After you send a message, it may identify one key fact—such as your role or a specific preference—and save it as a memory. It generally avoids saving one-off requests or duplicate information to keep the memory bank focused and useful.
Using Memories
When you ask a new question, the AI naturally incorporates your saved memories into its response. It uses this context to personalize answers and suggest relevant next steps without explicitly announcing that it is recalling a memory. For example, if you've previously shared your company's industry, the AI can use that information to provide better marketing advice or business strategies.
Memory Scope and Management
Memories are linked to your specific user account. They can also include optional context about your company or location. Each memory is tagged with a source, indicating how it was created (e.g., automatically by the AI, explicitly saved by you, or imported from another service).
How to Set Up and Manage Ask AI Memory
To ensure the AI has accurate and up-to-date information, you can review and manage your saved memories.
- Open the Ask AI feature within your CRM.
- Navigate to Account and then select Personalization.
- Choose Memory and then click Manage.
- You will see a list of your saved memories. You can search through them and delete any that are outdated or no longer applicable.
- To import memories from another AI provider, click Import memories. You will be given a prompt to copy into the other AI service. Once you receive the memory details, you can paste them into the import tool.
