Creating a New Template from an Existing One

To maintain consistent branding and save time when setting up a new marketing channel, you can duplicate any template you already have in your library. This creates an exact copy that you can then modify, allowing you to start from a proven foundation.

Who Can Duplicate Templates?

Currently, only users with the Agency Admin role have permission to duplicate templates.

How to Duplicate a Template

There are two methods to create a copy of a template. The first is a quick action from the library view.

Method 1: From the Library Grid

  1. Go to the template library section of your CRM.
  2. Find and hover your cursor over the template you want to duplicate.
  3. Click the three-dot menu icon that appears in the corner of the template card.
  4. Select the Clone Template option from the menu.
  5. A confirmation prompt will appear; click Confirm to create the duplicate.

Method 2: From Inside a Template

  1. Navigate to the template library.
  2. Click on the template you wish to copy to open it in the editor view.
  3. Inside the editor, locate and click the three-dot menu icon.
  4. Choose Clone Template from the list.
  5. Confirm the action in the prompt that follows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who has permission to clone templates?

Only Agency Admins can currently duplicate templates.

Can I rename a duplicated template?

Yes. After creating the duplicate, you can click into the edit section of the new template to change its title to something more descriptive for its new purpose.
