Using Event Start Date in Campaigns
Understanding Event Start Date
The Event Start Date field in your CRM allows you to create automated campaigns centered around a specific date and time. Once you set this date, all actions within the campaign will trigger relative to that moment.
How It Works
When you configure a campaign with an Event Start Date, you can schedule various communication items—such as emails or text messages—to send before or after the event. For example, if your event is scheduled for January 20th at 2:00 PM, you can set up reminders to go out one day before or one hour before the event by adjusting the timing settings for each item.
Practical Example
Imagine you are hosting a webinar on January 20th at 2:00 PM. You can create a campaign with the Event Start Date set to that specific time. Then, add items like:
- An email reminder scheduled to send 1 day before the event
- A text message reminder scheduled to send 1 hour before the event
This ensures your contacts receive timely notifications leading up to the event, all automated based on the Event Start Date you define.
