Understanding the Manage Scoring Interface
What is Manage Scoring?
Manage Scoring is the tool within your CRM that allows you to build an engagement score for your contacts. You can create rules that add or subtract points when contacts perform specific actions, such as opening an email, clicking a link, making a payment, or filling out a form. The total of these points forms a contact's Engagement Score, which you can use to segment your audience and trigger automated workflows.
Key Features of the Interface
The Manage Scoring page has been redesigned for improved usability and performance. The core functionality of your scoring rules remains the same, but the workspace is now faster and more intuitive.
Modern, Streamlined Layout
The page features a clean, single-column design. The table of scoring rules uses clear spacing and color-coding for point values, making it easier to review your entire rule set at a glance and identify any rules that may need updating.
Persistent, Shareable Views
Any filters you apply, such as search terms or the number of rows displayed per page, are captured in the page's URL. You can bookmark this URL or share it with a team member. When they open the link, they will see the exact same filtered view you were working on, eliminating the need to reapply search criteria.
Enhanced Performance
The updated page loads significantly faster, especially for accounts with a large number of scoring rules. This improvement allows for smoother navigation and quicker management of your engagement logic.
How to Use Manage Scoring
Accessing the Page
To access Manage Scoring, navigate to your account Settings and select Manage Scoring.
Draft and Publish Modes
In the upper-right corner of the page, you will find a Draft/Publish toggle. Use Draft Mode to create or edit rules without affecting live contact scores. When you are ready for the new rules to take effect, switch the toggle to Publish.
Managing Scoring Rules
- Add a New Rule: Click the + Add New Rule button. Select an action type and assign a positive or negative point value.
- Edit or Delete a Rule: Locate the rule in the table and click the three-dot menu icon next to it. Select Edit to modify the rule or Delete to remove it.
- Review and Publish: All your rules are displayed in the Scoring Rules table. After making your changes in Draft Mode, review them and then switch the toggle to Publish to activate them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my existing scoring rules be affected by this update?
No. This is a visual and performance upgrade only. All your current rules, point values, and contact scores remain unchanged.
Do shared links preserve the Draft or Publish mode?
Yes. A shared link will open the page in the same mode (Draft or Publish) that was active when the link was copied.
Can I edit multiple rules at once?
Bulk editing is not currently available. Rules must be edited or deleted individually using the three-dot menu next to each rule.
What happens if two users edit the same rule?
The last saved change will take precedence. It is recommended to use Draft Mode and share URLs to coordinate changes with your team.
Is there a log of who changed scoring rules?
The Manage Scoring page itself does not have a change log. However, user activity for publishing rules is recorded in your workspace's general activity logs.
Can I export my list of scoring rules?
A direct export function is not built into the page. For data extraction, you would need to use the CRM's API or manually copy the information from the table.
