Understanding AI Action Logging and Filtering in Conversations
About AI Action Logging
AI Action Logging provides a transparent record of automated actions performed by AI Employees during conversations with your contacts. Each time a bot triggers an action, a detailed log entry is added to the conversation thread, giving you complete visibility into your automation's activity.
Key Benefits
This feature enhances your control and understanding of AI-driven interactions in several important ways:
- See exactly when AI Employees update contact fields or trigger workflows
- Simplify troubleshooting by reviewing automated actions in context
- Filter conversations to focus only on bot-initiated events
- Identify appointments booked by bots through automatic source tagging
- Improve accountability and confidence in your automation processes
Using AI Action Logs and Filters
Viewing AI Action Logs
AI Action Logs appear directly within your conversation threads in the CRM. When you open the Conversations panel and review messages, you'll see timestamped entries for actions like "Workflow triggered by Bot," "Contact field updated by AI Employee," or "Bot Stopped." Each log is clearly marked with an "AI Employee" label.
Filtering for AI Actions
To view only the automated activities within a conversation:
- Open the Conversations panel in your CRM
- Click the Filter icon in the top-right corner
- Select "AI Action Logs" from the dropdown menu
- The panel will now display only messages involving bot-triggered actions
This filter helps you quickly audit bot behavior without scrolling through the entire conversation history.
Appointment Source Tagging
When an AI Employee schedules an appointment during a conversation, the appointment is automatically tagged with the source "Conversations AI." This makes it easy to distinguish between appointments booked by bots versus those scheduled manually by your team members.
