Custom Dashboard Widgets: Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Which subscription plans include access to custom dashboard widgets?

Access to multiple custom dashboards, custom widgets, and custom reports is a feature available on the $297 per month plan and all higher-tier plans, starting at $497 per month.

Why is the time and date format on the widgets different from the rest of the CRM?

The dashboard widgets currently use a standard system timezone and date format to maintain consistency across the platform. We recognize that users may prefer different formats, and our team is developing an update that will allow you to customize the time and date display within your widgets. This feature will be available in a future release.

Which user roles have permission to use Custom widgets?

For accounts on the $497 plan or higher, the ability to modify the dashboard using custom widgets is granted to specific roles:

  • Agency Admin: Full editing and viewing access.
  • Agency User: Full editing and viewing access.
  • Account Admin: View-only access.
  • Account User: View-only access, subject to specific user permissions.

How are dashboard permissions managed?

You can control what each team member sees on the dashboard by adjusting their individual permissions. To do this:

  1. Go to Settings and select My Staff.
  2. Click the Edit button next to the team member's name.
  3. In the User Permissions section, you can modify the following dashboard-related settings:
    • Dashboard Stats: Grants access to the main Dashboard (view-only for Account Admins and Account Users).
    • Contacts: Provides access to all contacts and contact-related widgets.
    • Opportunity: Provides access to all Opportunities and opportunity-related widgets.
    • Appointment: Provides access to all Appointments and appointment-related widgets.
    • Lead value: Provides access to monetary value-related widgets.
    • Only Assigned data: If enabled, the user will see no data on custom widgets.

How can I set up widgets to show data only for the logged-in team member?

To ensure a widget displays data specific to the person viewing the dashboard, you must configure a condition for that widget. In the widget's settings, go to the Conditions tab and set a condition using the USER -> LOGGED IN USER option. This will filter the widget's data so each user only sees information relevant to them.

Why do the opportunity counts on the new dashboard not match my expectations?

The new dashboard calculates opportunities based on the Last Status Change date instead of the Created date. This change can cause a discrepancy in counts if older opportunities have been updated, as those updates are now included in the chart totals. You can customize this behavior:

  • For General Widgets: Click the filter icon on the widget and change the date property. Adjusting it for one filter will automatically update the other general filters.
  • For Users on $497+ Plans: You can add custom widgets, which allow you to specify the date property directly in the widget's settings for a precise view.

Why am I unable to select Session Source or Session Medium in the "Group By" or "View By" options?

This occurs when you have configured more than one filter group in the widget's settings. To use Session Source or Session Medium as a grouping option, you may only have a single filter group. This group must contain the Attribution Type filter (either First Touch or Last Touch). Adding additional filter groups will disable the ability to use these attribution-based groupings to ensure data accuracy.
