How to Add Sub-Affiliates in the Affiliate Manager
Understanding Sub-Affiliates
A sub-affiliate is an affiliate who operates under the supervision of a parent affiliate. They promote offers to their own audience, and the parent affiliate earns a commission based on the sub-affiliate's sales. This structure helps affiliates build larger networks and increase their earnings. The CRM supports affiliate campaigns with multiple tiers, allowing for complex sub-affiliate hierarchies. Important: The affiliate campaign you are working with must be configured as a multi-tier campaign (tier 2 or higher) to use sub-affiliate features.
Methods for Adding Sub-Affiliates
There are three primary ways to add sub-affiliates to your network. Choose the method that best fits your management style and campaign goals.
1. Add Sub-Affiliates Manually
This method gives you direct control over which affiliates are assigned as sub-affiliates.
- Navigate to the Affiliate Manager within the CRM's marketing tools.
- Select the parent affiliate you want to manage from the list.
- Locate and click on the Sub-Affiliate tab on the affiliate's profile page.
- Click the Add Sub-Affiliate button.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, choose the specific campaign.
- Select one or more existing affiliates to assign as sub-affiliates.
- If needed, you can remove existing sub-affiliate assignments from this same tab.
- If the person you want to add is not yet an affiliate, you can create a new affiliate profile directly from this interface.
- Remember to save your changes before exiting.
2. Auto-Enroll New Customers as Sub-Affiliates
This option automatically enrolls a new customer as a sub-affiliate under the affiliate who referred them, once their purchase is complete.
- Access the Affiliate Manager for your sub-account.
- Open an existing multi-tier campaign or create a new one.
- During the campaign setup process, proceed to the final step and expand the Additional Settings section.
- Find the setting labeled Auto Enroll New Customers as Sub-Affiliates and toggle it on.
- Save and publish the campaign.
You can also enable this setting globally for all future campaigns in the Global Settings area.
3. Allow Affiliates to Recruit Their Own Sub-Affiliates
This method empowers your affiliates to grow their own teams by providing them with a dedicated sign-up link.
- When creating or editing a multi-tier campaign, go to the final step and open the Additional Settings.
- Toggle on the option for Sub-Affiliate Sign-Up Page.
- Select the form that will be used for the sub-affiliate registration process.
- Save your changes by clicking Finish.
This setting can also be configured globally. Once enabled, affiliates will find a unique sign-up link within their affiliate portal, which they can share to recruit new sub-affiliates. The portal will also display a list of all sub-affiliates under their account.
Note: The form you select for sub-affiliate sign-ups must include fields for First Name, Last Name, and Email. Forms missing these required fields will cause errors. Global setting changes only affect campaigns created after the change is made.
Benefits of Using Sub-Affiliates
Implementing a sub-affiliate structure creates a layered commission system. For example, if an affiliate refers another person who then makes a sale, both individuals can earn a commission. This incentivizes affiliates to actively build and mentor their own teams, leading to increased lead generation and sales volume for your business.
