How to Require Manual Approval for New Sub-Accounts
About Manual Sub-Account Approval
To help protect your business from fraudulent sign-ups, you can enable a setting that requires manual approval before new sub-accounts become active. This prevents scammers from using stolen payment methods to create accounts and misuse your CRM for spam or phishing.
Step 1: Enable the Approval Setting
Navigate to CRM Configurator > Security. Toggle the option labeled Put new sub-accounts on hold until reviewed and approved by an agency admin. Once enabled, all new sub-accounts will be created in a Restricted state, and users and admins for those accounts will be unable to log in.
Step 2: Review Activation Requests
Pending approval requests appear in the Requests section under CRM Configurator > Security. This list shows all sub-accounts awaiting your review.
Step 3: Contact the Client
Use the contact details provided in the request to verify the identity of the person or business signing up. Direct communication helps ensure the account is legitimate.
Step 4: Approve or Decline the Request
After evaluating the request, you can either approve or decline it. If approved, the sub-account and its users gain full access. If declined, the account remains restricted. You can later activate a declined account from the Manage Client page if needed.
