How to Use the SEO Heatmap in the CRM Prospecting Tool

About the SEO Heatmap

The SEO Heatmap in the CRM’s Prospecting Tool gives you a visual snapshot of how well a business ranks in local search results. By plotting search visibility across a map of key locations, it helps you quickly identify geographic strengths and weaknesses in a prospect’s SEO performance. This tool is especially useful for agencies and businesses looking to improve local search visibility and refine their optimization strategies.

Note: Access to the SEO Heatmap requires a Premium Prospecting subscription for both agency and location accounts.

Key Benefits

  • Geographic Insights: See at a glance where a business ranks well and where it falls short across different areas.
  • Targeted Optimization: Pinpoint specific locations with low visibility and adjust SEO tactics to improve rankings there.
  • Enhanced Local Strategy: Understand performance in nearby regions to fine-tune local SEO efforts and attract more nearby customers.

How the SEO Heatmap Works

The heatmap evaluates search rankings from nine distinct points around the business location:

  • Central Point: Represents the business’s immediate area and carries the highest weight (20%) in the overall visibility score.
  • Outer Points: Eight surrounding locations, each contributing 10% to the total score, show how the business ranks in neighboring areas.

Each point on the map reflects the business’s search ranking for a selected keyword. Higher rankings indicate stronger visibility, while lower rankings highlight opportunities for improvement.

Note: The heatmap now uses categories that align with the prospect’s Google Business Profile for greater accuracy. If you’re viewing an older report, refresh it to load the latest data.
