Managing Template Visibility for Subaccounts
How to Restrict Access to Individual Templates
As an agency administrator, you can control which templates your subaccounts can access. While there isn't a direct option to hide individual templates, you can organize them into hidden categories to prevent subaccounts from seeing them.
Creating a Hidden Category
Follow these steps to create a category that won't be visible to your subaccounts:
- Go to Agency and select Template Library.
- Click the gear icon labeled Settings to open the Template Library Admin Settings.
- Choose a product area (such as Funnels) and click Categories, then select Create Category.
- Enter a descriptive name (for example, "HIDDEN Funnels") and an optional description to indicate that templates in this category are not visible to subaccounts.
- Click Create to save the new category.
Hiding the Category
After creating the category, you need to hide it from subaccounts:
- Locate your new category in the list and toggle the Hide switch until it turns blue.
- If prompted, confirm that you want to hide this category for all subaccounts.
Moving Templates and Verifying Visibility
To ensure templates are hidden, place them exclusively in your hidden category:
- Move any templates you want to hide into the hidden category. Ensure they aren't assigned to any visible categories.
- Check that the template's preview displays a gray box with the message "This template is hidden for all your sub-accounts."
- To verify from a subaccount perspective, navigate to the subaccount, open the relevant product's template library (e.g., Funnels > New Funnel > from Templates), and confirm that the hidden category does not appear in the category list.
- Search for the template by name in the subaccount view to confirm it doesn't appear in the "All Templates" section.
By following this process, you can effectively manage template visibility across your agency's subaccounts.
