About Custom Object Audit Logs

Custom Object Audit Logs provide a detailed record of activity related to your custom objects, allowing you to monitor changes for security and operational clarity. This feature tracks key actions, including when custom objects or their individual records are created, updated, or deleted. It also logs the creation, modification, and removal of associations, such as links between two custom objects or between a custom object and a contact.

  • Custom Objects: Logs the creation and updating of custom object definitions.
  • Custom Object Records: Tracks when individual records within a custom object are created, updated, or deleted.
  • Associations: Monitors the creation, updates, and deletion of relationships between objects or between an object and a contact.

Granular Change Details

For each entry in the audit log, you can access specific information about what was changed. By clicking the three-dot menu (ellipsis) next to an activity and selecting View Details, you can see the precise fields that were added or modified.

Please note: Audit log entries are retained for 60 days from the date of the recorded activity.

How to Access and Review Audit Logs

  1. Go to Subaccounts.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click on Audit Logs.

Filter and View Details

  1. Within the Audit Logs section, use the module dropdown filter to narrow the view. Look for options like Objects, Custom Objects, or Associations to see relevant activities.
  2. To see more information about any specific change, click the three-dot menu (ellipsis) on the right-hand side of the log entry and select View Details.
