Duplicating Elements and Slides in Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes
Save time while building forms, surveys, and quizzes by using the duplication feature. This tool allows you to create an exact copy of any element or entire slide with a single click. The duplicate retains all the original's styling, settings, and configurations, enabling you to build consistent, multi-step experiences more efficiently.
Understanding Element and Slide Duplication
Element and Slide Duplication is a feature that lets you instantly create a copy of a component you have already set up within a form, quiz, or survey. This is ideal for quickly replicating custom fields, text blocks, images, or even a full slide. The duplicate appears directly beneath the original and maintains its design, validation rules, and other properties. This allows you to reuse well-configured building blocks instead of constructing new ones from the ground up. After duplication, you can edit the new copy independently without affecting the original element or slide.
Key Advantages of Using Duplication
- Speed: Duplicate any element instantly or clone a full slide to accelerate the creation of multi-step surveys.
- Consistency: Maintain uniform spacing, labels, styling, and formatting across repeated sections.
- Efficiency: Reuse carefully configured components instead of manually recreating them.
- Accuracy: Preserve important settings like validation and required field rules to prevent errors.
- Design Integrity: Copy styled image and text blocks to ensure a cohesive visual appearance.
What Gets Copied When You Duplicate
When you duplicate an element or slide, all its properties are carried over to the new copy. This includes:
- Styles and Layout: Fonts, spacing, alignment, and theme settings.
- Validations: Any required field toggles and validation rules.
- Content: Labels, placeholder text, choice options, and helper text.
- Images: Source file, alignment, and sizing parameters.
- Slides: The entire visual design and layout of the slide are duplicated.

- Move your cursor to the top-right corner of the slide you want to copy.
- Click the Clone Slide button.
- A complete duplicate of the slide will be created.
