Using Global Sections and Templates in Funnel Builder

When building multiple pages for a funnel or website, you often need to reuse the same elements—like headers, footers, or specific content blocks—across different pages. Manually recreating these elements on every page is time-consuming and makes site-wide updates difficult. The CRM's Funnel Builder includes two powerful features to solve this: Global Sections and Templates.

What are Global Sections?

A Global Section is a reusable design element you create once and then place on multiple pages. The key benefit is that any change you make to the original Global Section automatically updates on every page where it's used. This is ideal for consistent site components that you might need to update later.

How to Create and Use a Global Section

1. While editing a funnel page, design the element you want to reuse (like a navigation bar or a call-to-action banner).
2. Select the element or group of elements by clicking on them.
3. In the element's settings panel, look for the option to Save as Global or Convert to Global Section.
4. Give your Global Section a descriptive name and save it.
5. To add this section to another page, open the page editor and find the Global tab in the left-hand elements panel. Your saved section will be listed there. Drag and drop it onto the new page.

Now, if you edit the design, text, or settings of the original Global Section, those changes will be reflected on all pages where the section is placed.

What are Templates?

Templates are pre-designed page layouts or sections saved for future use. Unlike Global Sections, a Template is a static copy. When you add a Template to a page, it becomes an independent element on that page. Changing the original Template later will not affect pages where it was already placed. Templates are perfect for starting points or reusable layouts that might need customization on different pages.

How to Create and Use a Template

1. Design a page or a section within a page that you want to save as a starting point.
2. Select the relevant elements.
3. In the settings panel, look for the option to Save as Template.
4. Name your Template and save it.
5. To use it, go to a new or existing page, find the Templates tab in the elements panel, and drag your saved template onto the canvas.

Choosing Between Global Sections and Templates

• Use a Global Section when you need an identical element (like a copyright footer) to stay synchronized across your entire site. Any future edit updates everywhere instantly.
• Use a Template when you want a reusable starting point for a layout or section, but expect to customize it differently on various pages. It creates a one-time copy.

By leveraging Global Sections for site-wide consistency and Templates for efficient layout creation, you can build and maintain your funnels and websites much faster.
