Understanding the App Marketplace Earnings Dashboard
The App Marketplace Earnings Dashboard provides a centralized view of the financial performance and adoption of apps you've installed for your sub-accounts. It consolidates data on installations, revenue, expenses, and net profit, allowing you to move from manual tracking to data-driven insights about the value your apps deliver.
Key Benefits
- Centralized Reporting: View all key app performance metrics from a single location within your agency account.
- Informed Decision-Making: Use trend data and comparative analysis to identify which apps provide the most value to your business and clients.
- Client-Level Insights: Understand which sub-accounts contribute the most revenue and have the highest app adoption rates.
- Streamlined Analysis: Reduce manual work with built-in filters, visual charts, detailed tables, and export functionality.
- ROI Clarity: Directly compare revenue generated against costs incurred to assess the profitability of each app.
Accessing and Navigating the Dashboard
To access the dashboard, navigate to the App Marketplace section of your CRM agency account and click on the Earnings tab.
At the top of the dashboard, you will find summary cards providing a high-level overview:
- Unique App Installed: The total count of different apps currently installed across all your sub-accounts. This number is not affected by the selected time period filter.
- Active Installations: The total number of current, active app installations. This figure is also independent of the selected time period.
- Sub-accounts Active: The number of sub-accounts that currently have at least one active app installation.
- Total Revenue - Cost = Profit: A financial summary showing total earnings from app installs, total related expenses, and the resulting net profit. These values are calculated based on the selected time period.
Using Filters and Selecting a Time Period
Filters allow you to narrow the dashboard data to focus on specific apps, clients, or timeframes for targeted analysis. All charts and tables update automatically based on your filter selections.
You can filter by:
- Time Period: Use the date selector or preset ranges (e.g., last week, last month, specific quarters) to define your reporting window.
- Mode: Filter results by app pricing model, such as Free, Usage-based, One-time, or Subscription.
- App: Isolate data for one or more specific apps.
- Sub-Account: Review performance for selected client sub-accounts.
- Search: Quickly find specific apps or sub-accounts within the analysis tables.
- Reset: Clear all applied filters to return to the default, broader view.
Reviewing the Revenue, Cost, and Profit Chart
The trend chart visually represents your financial performance over the selected time period. It plots lines for revenue, cost, and profit, enabling you to:
- Monitor earnings trends over time.
- Identify periods of increased app activity or spending.
- Compare revenue against costs to understand margin performance.
- Observe how changes in your selected date range impact the overall financial picture.
App Analysis View
The App Analysis tab lets you evaluate performance at the individual app level. This view is ideal for assessing which apps are most widely adopted and which are the most financially successful. The table includes details such as:
- App Name
- Total Installs
- Active Sub-Accounts
- Churn Rate
- Total Revenue
- Total Cost
- Profit
Use this view to compare apps side-by-side and identify the top performers driving your business results.
Sub-Account Analysis View
The Sub-Account Analysis tab shifts the focus to your clients. This view helps you understand which sub-accounts generate the most value from Marketplace apps, aiding in client management and identifying opportunities for growth. You can use this analysis for:
- Identifying high-value clients based on app-related revenue and profit.
- Reviewing app adoption rates for each sub-account.
- Comparing app contribution across your client base.
- Supporting internal account reviews and reporting.
Exporting Data
To use the dashboard data outside the CRM, click the Export button. This will download a file containing the report data as it appears with your currently applied filters and time period selection.
