Configure Review Request Distribution Across Platforms
What Is Review Request Distribution?
Review Request Distribution is a feature that allows you to automatically split the review requests you send to contacts between multiple online platforms, such as Google Business Profile and Facebook. Instead of every request going to a single site, you can set a specific percentage to go to each integrated platform, helping you build a more balanced online reputation.
Why Use Review Request Distribution?
Using this feature provides several key benefits for your business's online presence.
Diversify Your Review Portfolio
Having reviews on multiple major platforms increases your visibility to potential customers who may prefer one site over another, broadening your reach.
Mitigate Platform Reliance
It prevents your reputation from being overly concentrated on a single platform, protecting your business if one site's policies or algorithms change.
Tailor to Your Strategy
You have full control. If you want to focus more on Google this quarter, you can adjust the split to send 80% of requests there. The flexibility supports your specific business goals.
How to Set Up Review Request Distribution
Follow these steps to configure how your review requests are split between platforms.
Step 1: Navigate to the Settings
In your CRM, go to Reputation > Settings > Review Link. This is where you manage all settings related to how review request links are generated.
Step 2: Enable the Feature
On the Review Link settings page, find the option labeled Enable Review Balancing and toggle it on.
Important Prerequisite: To distribute reviews, you must first have your desired review platforms (like Google Business Profile and Facebook) integrated with your CRM. If you haven't done this, you will need to set up those integrations first in the main Settings > Integrations area.
Step 3: Select Your Google Business Profile
If you are using Google, you need to specify which location receives the reviews. In the Get Reviews on Google section, use the Select Page dropdown menu to choose your connected Google Business Profile.
Step 4: Configure the Distribution Split
After enabling the feature, a Configure Balance button will appear. Click it to open the settings modal. Here, you will see sliders or input fields for each integrated platform (e.g., Google and Facebook). Adjust the percentages to define what portion of review requests should go to each site. For example, you could set it to 60% Google and 40% Facebook.
Step 5: Save Your Configuration
Once you have set your desired distribution percentages, click the save or update button within the modal, and then save any changes on the main Review Link settings page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I only have one platform connected?
If only one review platform (like Google) is integrated, then 100% of review requests will be sent to that platform automatically. The distribution feature will apply once a second platform is added.
Can I turn this feature off?
Yes. Simply return to Reputation > Settings > Review Link and toggle the Enable Review Balancing option off. All review requests will then revert to going to your default platform.
Can I change the percentages later?
Absolutely. You can edit the distribution at any time by going back to the Review Link settings and clicking Configure Balance.
What is the default setting?
If you enable the feature but do not manually configure the balance, and you have both Google and Facebook integrated, the system will default to a 50/50 split between them.
Where can I see my current distribution settings?
The current percentages are always visible when you click the Configure Balance button.
Where do I see the results of sent review requests?
Analytics for review performance, including the number of reviews generated per platform, are available within the main Reputation module of your CRM.
