Publish Your iOS White-Label App in App Store Connect
Overview
This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and submitting your iOS white-label mobile app for review and publication in Apple App Store Connect. Following these steps carefully will help ensure a smooth submission process.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An active Apple Developer Account
- Your App Store Connect login credentials
- Prepared assets including your app name and subtitle, a 1024x1024 PNG app icon without transparency, screenshots for iPhone and iPad, privacy policy and support URLs, marketing description, and keywords
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log in to App Store Connect
Navigate to App Store Connect and sign in using your Apple Developer credentials. From the Apps dashboard, click the plus icon to create a new app or select an existing white-label app to update.
Step 2: Enter App Information
Fill in the required details:
- App Name: Enter your brand's app name.
- Subtitle: Provide a short tagline (maximum 30 characters).
- Primary Language: Typically English (U.S.) unless targeting another language.
- Bundle ID: Select the bundle ID that matches what was created in Xcode or Certificates.
- Category: Choose an appropriate category such as Productivity or Business.
- SKU: Enter a unique identifier, which can be your brand or project code.
Step 3: Add Branding Assets
Upload your app icon (1024x1024 PNG, no rounded corners). Then upload screenshots for different iPhone and iPad screen sizes, such as 6.9", 6.5", and 5.5" displays, with a minimum of three screenshots per size. Ensure these screenshots accurately represent your app's user experience.
Step 4: Add App Metadata
Provide the following information:

- Promotional Text: Optional text that appears at the top of your App Store page.
- Support URL: A valid link for customer support.
- Marketing URL: Optional link to your app's website or landing page.
- Copyright Holder: Your company or brand name.
Step 5: Configure App Privacy
Provide your privacy policy URL. Declare what data is collected and linked to users, such as location, identifiers, or diagnostics. Review the "Data Linked to You" and "Data Not Linked to You" sections carefully.
Step 6: Pricing & Availability
Choose your price schedule (free or paid). Set your base country or region, such as the United States, and select availability across the 175 countries and regions offered.
Step 7: App Review Information
If your app requires login, provide test account credentials including a demo username and password. Add contact details such as name, phone number, and email. If special permissions like VoIP or background audio are required, explain them in the Notes section.
Step 8: Submit for Review
Verify that all required fields are filled and ensure there are no errors, such as a missing app icon, incorrect description, or unsupported characters like emojis. Click Submit for Review. Apple will review and approve your app before it goes live.
Common Issues to Avoid
- Missing App Store icon or incorrect size
- Emojis or unsupported characters in the description
- Phone number without a country code
