Opportunities Widgets in Dashboards & Reports
Overview
Opportunities Widgets allow you to monitor and analyze your sales pipeline directly within your CRM dashboards and custom reports. These widgets provide a comprehensive view of your pipeline performance, from total opportunity counts and revenue trends to win rates and loss reason breakdowns—all without leaving the CRM environment.
Every widget supports multiple chart types and can be filtered using conditions to narrow results by pipeline, stage, status, assignee, or attribution source.
Available Opportunities Widgets
Seventeen different Opportunities Widgets are available, each displaying a specific metric related to your pipeline. While each widget opens with a default chart type, you can switch to any supported chart from the widget settings.
- Opportunity Count: Shows the total number of all opportunities.
- Opened Opportunities: Displays the count of opportunities currently open.
- Opened Opportunity Value: Shows the combined monetary value of all open opportunities.
- Won Opportunities: Counts the number of won opportunities.
- Won Opportunity Value: Displays the total monetary value of won opportunities.
- Lost Opportunities: Counts the number of lost opportunities.
- Lost Opportunity Value: Shows the combined monetary value of lost opportunities.
- Lost Opportunities By Reason: Breaks down lost opportunities by the reason for loss.
- Abandoned Opportunities: Counts the number of abandoned opportunities.
- Abandoned Opportunity Value: Displays the total monetary value of abandoned opportunities.
- Total Opportunity Value: Shows the combined monetary value of all opportunities, regardless of status.
- Opportunity Counts by Status: Displays the distribution of opportunities across all statuses.
- Opportunity Counts Over Time: Tracks how opportunity creation trends over a selected time period.
- Opportunity Revenue Over Time: Tracks how opportunity revenue trends over time.
- Won Opportunities This Month (For You): Shows won opportunities this month assigned to the logged-in user.
- Won Opportunities Value This Month: Displays total won revenue this month across all team members.
- Won Opportunities Value This Month (For You): Shows total won revenue this month for the logged-in user.
Note: Widgets 15, 16, and 17 use a fixed date scope of This Month and do not follow the dashboard's global date range unless modified in the widget configuration. Widgets 15 and 17 are scoped to the currently logged-in user via a built-in assignee filter. In scheduled reports, these widgets reflect the data of the report owner, not the recipient.
Supported Chart Types
All Opportunities Widgets can be switched to any of the following chart types from the widget settings:
- Number: Ideal for displaying a single key performance indicator, such as a quick count or value.
- Donut: Best for showing distributions or breakdowns by category, like status or lost reason.
- Bar: Useful for comparing values across different categories.
- Line: Perfect for visualizing trends over time.
- Horizontal Bar: Effective for comparing many categories with long labels.
- Table: Provides a detailed, row-level breakdown of data.
Group By Options
Widgets that support a breakdown dimension can be grouped by the following fields. Grouping is available on widgets 8, 12, 13, and 14.
- Status: Groups by opportunity status (Open, Won, Lost, Abandoned).
- Assignee: Groups by the user assigned to each opportunity.
- Followers: Groups by users following the opportunity.
- Source: Groups by the source field on the opportunity record.
- Pipeline: Groups by the pipeline the opportunity belongs to.
- Stage: Groups by the stage within the pipeline.
- Lost Reason: Groups by the reason recorded when the opportunity was marked lost.
- Session Source: Groups by session-level traffic channel (e.g., Organic Search, Paid Social).
- Medium: Groups by attribution medium (e.g., Form, Facebook, Calendar).
Tip: Combine a Group By option with a status condition for deeper insights. For example, set a filter for Status = Lost and group by Lost Reason to identify where deals are falling off.
Date Properties
Opportunities Widgets can measure data against the following date fields. The selected date property determines which timestamp is used when the dashboard date range is applied.
- Created On: Uses the date the opportunity was created (default for most widgets).
- Updated On: Uses the date the opportunity record was last modified.
- Status Change: Uses the date the opportunity's status last changed (e.g., when it was marked Won or Lost).
Important: The Status Change date reflects the most recent status change, not when the opportunity originally entered a given status. If an opportunity is reopened after being marked lost, the Status Change date resets. For stable historical reporting, consider using Created On and filtering by status instead.
Filtering Opportunities Widgets
Every Opportunities Widget supports filtering via conditions in the widget settings panel. Conditions allow you to scope a widget to a specific subset of opportunities based on criteria such as pipeline, stage, status, assignee, or attribution source.
