How to Manage Stripe Payment Methods in Your CRM

Introduction

You can now manage your Stripe payment methods directly from within your CRM. This eliminates the need to switch to the Stripe dashboard, allowing you to configure payment options for invoices, funnels, online stores, and other areas of the platform from a single, centralized location.

Understanding Payment Method Management

Stripe Payment Method Management gives you control over which payment options—such as credit cards, digital wallets, and bank transfers—are active for different parts of your CRM. You can enable or disable these methods based on your business needs.

Key Benefits

  • Centralized Control: Manage all Stripe payment settings without leaving the CRM.
  • Separate Live and Test Modes: Configure payment methods independently for testing and live transaction environments.
  • Context-Aware Checkout: Only the payment methods you enable will appear as options for your customers during checkout.
  • Subscription-Specific Configuration: Set up unique payment methods specifically for recurring subscription payments.
  • Streamlined Operations: Simplifies setup across invoices, funnels, forms, and stores, improving the overall user experience.

How to Manage Payment Methods

Follow these steps to configure your Stripe payment methods.

Step 1: Access Payment Settings

Navigate to the Payments section from your account dashboard. Click on Integrations, then select the Manage button associated with your connected Stripe account.

Step 2: Enable or Disable Payment Methods

Click on the option to Manage Payment Methods. A list of available payment methods for different product areas will be displayed. Use the toggle switches to enable or disable the methods you want to offer. If you sell subscription products, you will see a dedicated Subscriptions dropdown where you can configure payment options specifically for subscription checkouts.

Advanced Setup and Troubleshooting

Some payment methods require specific conditions to be met before they become available to customers. Availability can depend on your account's verification status, geographic location, and whether you are in Test Mode or Live Mode.

Enabling Digital Wallets

Digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay can offer a faster checkout experience.

Apple Pay: To enable Apple Pay, your payment account must be fully activated and your domain must be verified. Go to PaymentsIntegrations, open your Stripe account, select Manage Payment Methods, enable Apple Pay, and save your changes.

Google Pay: Availability depends on device and browser support. To enable it, go to PaymentsIntegrations, select Manage Payment Methods, enable Google Pay, and save your settings.

Activating Bank-Based Payments

Methods like ACH, iDEAL, and SEPA may require additional account verification.

To enable these, navigate to PaymentsIntegrations, select Manage Payment Methods, and toggle on the desired bank payment method if it is available for your account and region. Remember to save your changes.

Setting Up Buy Now, Pay Later

Financing options like Affirm or Klarna may require approval from the payment provider. To enable available installment payment methods, go to PaymentsIntegrations, select Manage Payment Methods, enable the supported options, and save your configuration.

Switching Between Test Mode and Live Mode

You can configure payment methods separately for Test Mode and Live Mode. If a payment method is not appearing as expected during testing, verify which mode is currently active and confirm that the payment method is enabled for that specific environment. Save any changes before testing the checkout process again.

Payment Method Settings by Product Area

Your payment method configurations apply to various customer-facing interfaces within the CRM, including:

  • Invoices and Payment Links
  • Funnel Order Forms (One-Step and Two-Step)
  • Forms
  • E-commerce Stores
  • Calendars
  • Courses and Communities
  • Subscriptions

Note: Checkout links generated by the SaaS Configurator for subscriptions currently support card payments only. Other methods are excluded from this specific onboarding flow. Your settings will be respected at checkout, ensuring customers only see the payment options you have enabled.
