Setting Up Product Weights, Dimensions, and SKUs
Adding Detailed Product Information
To ensure accurate shipping calculations and inventory management, you can specify detailed information for your products, such as weight, physical dimensions, and a unique Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) code. These details are crucial for future integrations with shipping carriers and for tracking specific product variations.
Accessing the Product Variant and Pricing Page
You can add this information on the page dedicated to product pricing and variants. To get there, follow these steps in your CRM:
- Navigate to Payments in the main menu.
- Select Products.
- Either create a new product by clicking Create Product or edit an existing one.
- Within the product setup, go to the Add Pricing/ Variants section.
- Click on the Pricing/ Variant page link. This link is typically found within the product's name or details.
Note: You must first create and save at least one price or variant for a product before the detailed Pricing/Variant page becomes accessible. Newly created, unsaved prices may be marked with a "New" tag.
Managing Details on the Pricing/Variant Page
Once on the Pricing/Variant page, you will see a list of all the prices and variants for that product. This list is designed for easy management:
- Interactive Tiles: Each price or variant is displayed in a tile. Hovering your cursor over a tile will highlight it, indicating it is clickable to open its detailed settings page.
- Quick Actions: Each tile provides Edit and Delete options for making quick changes without navigating to the full detail view.
Entering Weight, Dimensions, and SKU
Click on a specific price or variant tile to open its detailed settings page. Here, you can enter and manage the following information:
- Product Weight
- Product Dimensions (Length, Width, Height)
- SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
- Inventory tracking settings
- Digital file attachments (if applicable)
After entering the details, remember to save your changes. This information will then be associated with that specific product variant for use in your store and future integrations.
