Creating a Website Using a Template

Building a professional website for your business is a straightforward process when you start with a pre-designed template. This guide will walk you through selecting a template, customizing it, and publishing it to your own domain.

Step 1: Create a New Website

Begin by navigating to the Sites section in your CRM's main menu. From there, select Websites. On the Websites page, click the New Website button to start the creation process.

Step 2: Choose a Template

You will be presented with a choice of starting points. Select the option to create a website From Templates. This will display a gallery of available templates. Browse the options and click Preview on a template you like to see a live demonstration. When you have found the right one, click Continue.

Step 3: Customize Your Website

You will now enter the Website Editor. Here, you can modify the template to fit your brand. You can change colors, upload images, edit text, and rearrange page elements. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click the Save button to preserve your work. To make the site accessible to visitors, click the Publish button. Finally, exit the editor by clicking Back.

Step 4: Connect Your Domain

For your website to have its own web address, you need to connect a domain. Go to the website's Settings tab. Look for the Domain section and click the Connect Domain link. If you are taken directly to a domain connection page, enter your domain name and click Continue. Alternatively, you may need to click Back to Domains to see a list of your existing domains, and then click Connect a Domain.

Enter your domain name and click Continue through the subsequent prompts. If you do not yet own a domain, you will be guided through the process of purchasing one.

Step 5: Configure DNS and Verify

After initiating the connection, you will need to configure your domain's DNS settings with your domain registrar. The CRM will provide specific instructions for this step. Once you have updated the DNS records, return to the domain settings in the CRM and click Verify Records to confirm the configuration is correct.

Step 6: Finalize the Connection

Navigate back to the website's Settings tab. In the Domain section, select your newly connected domain from the dropdown menu and click Save.

Congratulations! Your website is now live on your own domain. You can share the link, monitor its performance, and continue to add new content as needed.
