Identifying and Fixing Workflow Errors
Overview
This feature helps you quickly spot, understand, and correct errors in your workflows using AI-powered assistance. It provides clear visual indicators and step-by-step guidance, allowing you to troubleshoot problems directly from the Error tab in the workflow builder's side panel. The system's ability to detect potential issues has been expanded, and validation now occurs when you save your workflow, catching problems in specific actions before they can affect live executions.
Why This Feature Is Useful
This toolset enhances the reliability of your workflows by making errors easy to identify and resolve. It saves you time by offering direct explanations and recommended solutions, reducing the need for guesswork. Ultimately, it builds confidence by empowering you to manage complex workflow configurations independently.
Key Features
Enhanced Error Highlighting
The system now checks a wider range of workflow configurations, helping to prevent the publication of workflows with incomplete setups. Errors are visually marked within the builder for immediate identification.
Error Tab in the Side Panel
An Error button is located in the left side panel of the Workflow Builder. Clicking it opens a panel that lists all detected errors, organized into two main categories:
- Integration Issues: Problems related to external service connections.
- Missing Mandatory Fields: Errors caused by required information being absent from an action or trigger.
Visual Error Indicators
An error icon appears in the bottom-right corner of any action or trigger that has a problem. When you click the Save button, the system performs additional checks on actions like If/Else and Wait. If a misconfiguration is found, the step is highlighted and the error is added to the Error panel.
Tip: If you are unsure about an error, use the "Resolve through AI" option in the Error panel for guided assistance that will take you directly to the correct configuration area.
AI-Powered Error Resolution
An AI Assistant provides detailed explanations for errors and suggests actionable steps to fix them. A dedicated "Resolve through AI" button is available for immediate troubleshooting. Clicking this button opens the AI Assistant, which provides resolution steps, and simultaneously opens the configuration sidebar for the relevant action or trigger.
Managing Error Tab Visibility
If you prefer not to see the Error tab at all times, you can hide it. A toggle button in the side panel settings allows you to disable or re-enable the tab based on your preference.
Using the AI Assistant to Resolve Errors: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Identify the Error
