Removing Opportunities from Workflows
About the Remove Opportunity Action
The Remove Opportunity action allows you to delete opportunities directly from within a workflow. This is useful for maintaining a clean sales pipeline by automatically removing opportunities that are no longer relevant, such as stale leads, disqualified prospects, or completed deals that should be archived.
When configuring this action, you can choose between two removal options:
- Remove all opportunities for the contact in the pipeline: Deletes every opportunity associated with the contact within a specific pipeline.
- Remove only the opportunity that triggered the workflow or was found in the previous action: Targets a single, specific opportunity, providing more precise control.
Adding the Remove Opportunity Action to a Workflow
Step 1: Access Your Workflow
Navigate to the Automations section of your CRM and select Workflows. You can either create a new workflow by clicking + Create Workflow or edit an existing one by clicking the three-dot menu next to its name and selecting Edit Workflow.
Step 2: Configure the Action
Within the workflow builder, add a new action. From the action picker, select Remove Opportunity. In the configuration panel, choose your desired removal method from the two options described above. Finally, click Save Action to add it to your workflow sequence.
Important Considerations
Use this action with caution. Once an opportunity is removed, it can be recovered individually within a two-month period, but bulk recovery is not available. Ensure your workflow logic correctly identifies the opportunities you intend to delete to avoid accidental data loss.
