Understanding Workflow Actions
What Are Workflow Actions?
Workflow actions are the building blocks that automate tasks and processes in your CRM. After a workflow is triggered by an event, these actions execute in sequence to perform specific operations, giving you precise control over how your automation unfolds.
How Actions Work
Actions follow triggers. When a trigger event occurs—like a form submission or a contact update—the workflow begins and carries out each action you’ve configured, one after another. This sequential execution ensures your automation runs exactly as designed.
Categories of Workflow Actions
Actions are grouped into categories to help you find the right tool for your automation needs. Here are the main categories available:
- Contact Actions
- Communication Actions
- Send Data
- Internal Tools Actions
- Workflow AI Action
- Eliza Actions
- Appointments Actions
- Opportunities Actions
- Payments Actions
- Marketing Actions
- Affiliate Actions
- Courses Actions
- IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Actions
- Communities Actions
To add an action to your workflow, open the Workflow Builder and click the Add Action button. You can then browse or search for the action you need.
