When building or editing a workflow in your CRM, you can experiment freely with the knowledge that you can easily reverse your steps. The Workflow Builder includes session-based Undo, Redo, and Recent Changes features that allow you to move backward and forward through your edits during your current work session. This provides a safe environment for making changes without immediately affecting the saved workflow version.

- Click any entry in the list to instantly return the workflow canvas to that exact point in your editing session.
Understanding Session Behavior and Limits
It's important to know how the undo history works to avoid unexpected results.
- Session-Based: Your undo/redo history and Recent Changes list exist only for your current editing session. If you close the browser tab, refresh the page, or log out, this history is cleared and cannot be recovered.
- Local to You: The history tracks only the changes you make. It does not include edits made by other users who might be viewing or editing the same workflow.
- Resets on Version Restore: If you use the Version History feature to restore an older saved version of the workflow, your current session's undo/redo history will reset. It will then start tracking new changes from that restored state.
Collaboration with Multiple Editors
When more than one person is working on a workflow:
- Each user has their own separate undo/redo history that tracks only their own canvas actions.
- You cannot undo or redo changes made by another user in your session.
- For team-based rollbacks that span different users or longer time periods, you should use the shared Version History feature instead.
