Action Description

The Grant Private Channel Access action allows you to automatically provide a member with access to a designated private channel within a community group. If the member is not already part of the group, they will be added to both the group and the selected private channel.

The Revoke Private Channel Access action removes a member's access to a specific private channel while maintaining their membership in the community group.

How to Configure

Access the Workflow Builder within your CRM account.

Create a New Workflow

Click on Create a Workflow.

Select the Relevant Action Type

Choose either Grant Private Channel Access or Revoke Private Channel Access.

Configure Trigger Details

Specify the group and the private channel for which you want to manage access. Only private channels are available for selection; ensure you have the appropriate private channel set up. If a member is not part of the group, they will be added to both the group and the channel you select.

Add Subsequent Actions

Include any additional automated actions you wish to trigger.

Test Your Workflow

Verify that the workflow functions correctly by testing it in a controlled setting.

Save and Activate

Once testing is complete, save and activate your workflow.
