Creating and Modifying Images with Ask AI
Introduction
The Ask AI tool in your CRM allows you to create, modify, and analyze images using simple text commands. You can generate new images from scratch, edit existing images, or ask questions about an image's content, all through conversational prompts. This feature also supports a wide range of aspect ratios to fit different platforms and content needs.
Key Advantages
Using Ask AI for images offers several powerful benefits:
- Quickly produce high-quality images by describing what you want.
- Easily refine images by instructing the AI to change specific elements like colors, objects, or styles.
- Maintain a complete history of your edits within a session, allowing you to iterate on an image without losing your progress.
- Save your final images directly to your CRM's Media Library for use in campaigns, websites, and other materials.
- Streamline the creation of visuals for social media, emails, and marketing materials.
How to Generate and Edit Images
To use these features, your account must have either the AI Employee subscription or the Content AI pay-per-use option enabled.
Generate and Edit Images in the Ask AI Modal
This is the primary method for creating and modifying images.
- Log into your CRM sub-account.
- Locate and click the Ask AI button in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
- In the text field that appears, type a descriptive prompt for the image you want to create (e.g., "a serene mountain lake at dawn").
- Press Enter or click the arrow button to submit your prompt.
- After a moment, the AI will generate the image and display it.
- To edit the image, type a new instruction in the prompt field below it (e.g., "add a canoe on the water").
- Submit the edit prompt, and the AI will generate an updated version of the image.
Edit Images Created in Content AI
You can also edit images that were originally generated in other parts of the CRM, such as the Social Planner.
- Navigate to a Content AI workflow, for example, by going to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Create a new post and generate an image with AI, or open an existing post that has an AI-generated image.
- Click the "Edit with AskAI" button associated with the image.
- Enter your edit instruction (e.g., "make the colors more vibrant") and submit it.
- The AI will process your request and display the edited image.
Saving Your Images
After generating or editing an image, you have two options:
- Click the Save icon to permanently add the image to your CRM's Media Library.
- Click the Copy button to copy the image to your computer's clipboard for immediate use in other applications.
Please note: If you do not save an image, it will only be available within your current Ask AI session and will not be stored long-term.
Supported Aspect Ratios
You can control the dimensions of your generated images by specifying an aspect ratio. You can include the ratio directly in your prompt or describe the intended use, and the AI will choose an appropriate format.
Commonly supported aspect ratios and their uses include:
- 1:1: Square posts and profile pictures.
- 4:5: Ideal for Instagram feed posts.
- 9:16: Best for Stories, Reels, and TikTok videos.
- 16:9: Suitable for YouTube thumbnails and wide banners.
- 21:9: Cinematic widescreen graphics.
- 2:3 and 3:4: Portrait-oriented images.
- 3:2, 4:3, and 5:4: Landscape-oriented images.
