How to Duplicate a Calendar

Overview

Duplicating a calendar in your CRM allows you to create an exact copy of an existing scheduling setup. This feature is ideal for quickly deploying similar calendars for different team members, services, or locations without having to manually rebuild every setting from scratch. The new calendar will inherit most of the original's configurations, ensuring a consistent booking experience while saving significant setup time.

What Does Not Get Copied

Certain unique identifiers and connected automations are not duplicated. You will need to configure these separately for the new calendar:

  • Calendar Name: While initially copied as "Copy of [Original Name]", you should rename it to something unique.
  • Calendar ID: A new, unique ID is generated for the duplicate.
  • Calendar URL/Booking Link: The duplicate receives its own unique booking link. The original link continues to point to the original calendar.
  • Workflow Automations: Any triggers or workflows connected to the original calendar are not cloned. You must recreate or reassign these to the new calendar manually.

How to Duplicate a Calendar

Step 1: Access Calendar Settings

From your CRM dashboard, navigate to Calendars using the left-hand menu. Then, click on Calendar Settings in the top navigation ribbon.

Step 2: Select and Duplicate

In the list of calendars, locate the one you wish to copy. Click the three-dot menu icon next to its name and select Duplicate from the options that appear. Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

Step 3: Configure the New Calendar

The system will create the duplicate and open it for editing. It will be named "Copy of [Original Name]".

  • First, give your new calendar a distinct and recognizable name.
  • Carefully review all settings—especially availability, notifications, and assigned team members—to ensure they are correct for this new calendar's purpose.
  • Make any necessary adjustments.
  • When you are finished, click the blue Save button in the upper-right corner to activate the calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I duplicate any type of calendar (like Round-Robin or Group/Event calendars)?
A: Yes, all calendar types within the CRM support the duplication feature, and their specific configurations will be carried over.

Q: Are workflows or automations duplicated with the calendar?
A: No. Workflows must be manually recreated or reassigned to link them to the new calendar.

Q: Will the original calendar's booking link now point to the new duplicate?
A: No. Each calendar maintains its own unique booking link. Duplicating creates a brand new link for the copy; the original link remains unchanged.

Q: Does the time zone setting get duplicated?
A: Yes, the duplicate calendar will retain the same time zone configuration as the original.
