Using Consent Checkboxes for Compliance in Calendar Forms
Introduction to Consent Checkboxes
Your CRM now includes a feature that helps you maintain compliance when collecting phone numbers from contacts. By enabling a consent checkbox in your calendar booking forms, you can ensure that contacts explicitly agree to provide their information, which is especially important for meeting A2P 10DLC regulations and avoiding issues with telecom providers.
How to Enable and Customize the Consent Checkbox
When you select a default form in your Calendar settings, you will find an option labeled "show consent checkbox." This option is enabled by default, but you can disable it if necessary. For compliance purposes, we recommend leaving it enabled to capture consent and the contact’s IP address at the time of booking.
You can also customize the text displayed next to the checkbox to match your specific compliance needs or branding.
Viewing Consent Details
After an appointment is booked with consent, you can review the consent information in two ways:
Appointment List View
Navigate to your appointment list, click the three-dot menu for the relevant appointment, and select "View Consent." This will show the consent details associated with that booking.
Contact Activity Tab
In a contact’s activity timeline, appointments where consent was given will display a special icon. Clicking this icon reveals the consent text the contact agreed to, along with their IP address at the time of consent.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add links to my Privacy Policy or Terms in the consent checkbox?
No, the consent checkbox does not support HTML or clickable links. To comply with A2P 10DLC requirements, include links to your Privacy Policy and Terms in another part of the form, such as a description block or page footer.
