Analyzing Ad Campaign Performance in Ad Manager

Overview of Campaign Statistics

The Statistics section in your CRM's Ad Manager provides a central dashboard for monitoring the performance of your active and paused advertising campaigns. By analyzing the data presented here, you can make informed decisions to optimize your ad spend, improve targeting, and increase your return on investment.

Accessing the Statistics Dashboard

From the main Ad Manager screen, navigate to the Statistics tab. This opens a dedicated view displaying performance metrics and conversion summaries for all your published campaigns.

Viewing Overall Campaign Performance

Upon opening the Statistics tab, you will see an overview of all your campaigns. You can filter this data in several ways:

  • Platform Filter: Use the filter at the top-left of the page to view data specifically for campaigns running on Google Ads or Meta (Facebook & Instagram) platforms.
  • Date Range Filter: Select a specific date range to analyze performance for that period only.
  • Page Filter (Meta): For Meta campaigns, an additional filter lets you narrow results to ads published on specific connected Facebook Pages.

The core data is presented in a customizable table. You can select which metric columns to display, allowing you to focus on the key performance indicators most relevant to your analysis.

Drilling into Meta Campaign Data

For campaigns on the Meta platform, you can analyze performance at three levels: Campaign, Ad Set, and Ad. This allows for deeper optimization by identifying which audiences and specific ad creatives are performing best.

Analyzing an Individual Campaign

To examine the performance of a single campaign in detail, click on its name in the main statistics table. This opens a page dedicated to that campaign's metrics.

  • The table on this individual campaign page is also customizable, letting you choose which columns to view.
  • The date range filter is available here as well, letting you analyze the campaign's performance over a specific timeframe.

Reviewing and Exporting Lead & Sales Data

If a campaign has generated leads or closed sales, an icon will appear next to the respective count in the table.

  • Click the leads icon to open a window listing the contact details for leads generated by that campaign.
  • Click the sales icon (often labeled 'Opportunities Closed') to open a window listing the details of deals won.
  • From within these windows, you can click the Export button to download the lead or sales data as a CSV file.

You can also export the entire campaign metrics table—for all campaigns or a single campaign—by clicking the Export button present on those pages.

Understanding Performance Metrics

The statistics tables display several key metrics to evaluate your campaigns. Here is what they mean:

  • Clicks: The total number of times users clicked on your ad.
  • Revenue: The total income generated from the campaign.
  • ROI%: Return on Investment, calculated as a percentage of profit relative to ad spend.
  • CPC: Cost Per Click, the average amount you pay for each ad click.
  • CTR: Click-Through Rate, the percentage of users who clicked your ad after seeing it.
  • Sales: The total number of purchases attributed to the campaign.
