Customizing and Exporting Marketing Audit PDF Reports

About PDF Customization for Marketing Audits

You can customize the appearance of your exported Marketing Audit PDF reports to match your agency's branding. This feature applies the colors, layout, and contact information you set up in your CRM's Report Builder directly to the downloadable PDF files. The result is a professional, branded report that provides a consistent experience for your prospects, whether they view the audit online or receive it as a PDF.

This feature requires a Premium Prospecting subscription. Previewing your report design is available for all users, but saving your customization settings is restricted to Premium subscribers.

Setting Up and Using PDF Customization

Follow these steps to configure your report branding and generate a customized PDF.

Step 1: Configure Your Branding

In the Report Builder, set up the following elements:

  • Brand Name & Contact Details: Enter your agency's information, such as name, phone number, email, and website URL.
  • Borders & Colors: Customize the colors used for report borders and other design elements.
  • Heading Colors: Set the colors for report section titles (e.g., Local Rank Tracker, Tech Stack Analysis).

Note: Header or footer blocks designed only for web display will not appear in the exported PDF.

Step 2: Preview and Save Your Design

  1. Click the Preview button to see a live version of your report with the applied branding.
  2. Review the preview to ensure colors, contact details, and layout appear correctly.
  3. Click Save to apply your settings. Once saved, these customizations will be used for all subsequent web views and PDF exports.

Step 3: Export a Branded PDF Report

  1. Navigate to Prospecting and then All Accounts to see your list of prospects.
  2. Find the prospect whose audit you wish to export.
  3. You have two options:
    • Click View Report for that prospect, then select Export PDF.
    • Or, click Export PDF directly from the prospect list.
  4. A prompt will appear allowing you to select the language for the PDF report. Choose your preferred language.
  5. Click Export PDF. The system-generated text within the report (like headings and labels) will be translated to the selected language.
  6. The finalized PDF will open in a new browser tab, displaying all your brand customizations.

Tip: If you are exporting a report that was generated some time ago, it's a good practice to refresh the report first to ensure it contains the latest audit data before exporting the PDF.
