How to Pause, Resume, or Cancel a Scheduled Email Campaign
Managing Your Scheduled Email Campaigns
Your CRM provides powerful controls to manage scheduled email campaigns directly from the Email Campaigns page. You can pause a campaign to temporarily halt its delivery, resume it to continue sending, or cancel it entirely to prevent any emails from going out. These features give you flexibility to make last-minute changes, correct errors, or stop sends that are no longer needed.

How to Pause, Resume, or Cancel a Campaign
Access Email Campaigns
Navigate to Marketing → Emails from the left sidebar, then select the Campaigns tab at the top of the page.
Find Your Scheduled Campaign
Locate the campaign you want to manage under the Scheduled status section.
Open Campaign Options
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the campaign name to reveal available actions.
Choose Your Action
To pause a campaign: Select Pause from the dropdown menu. This temporarily halts the campaign's send schedule and changes its status to Paused.
To resume a paused campaign: Open the three-dot menu again and select Resume. If resumed before the original scheduled time, it will send as planned. If resumed after the scheduled time, it will send immediately.
To cancel a campaign: Select Cancel from the dropdown menu. This permanently stops the campaign from sending, including any RSS or batch emails.
When to Use Each Option
Pause: Use when you need more time to review content, verify recipients, or check the schedule before launch.
Resume: Use when your paused campaign is ready to continue sending.
Cancel: Use when the campaign is no longer relevant or contains errors that cannot be corrected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I resume a campaign after its original scheduled time?
Yes. If resumed after the original send time, the campaign will send immediately.
What happens to paused campaigns if I don't resume them?
They will remain paused indefinitely until you manually resume or cancel them.
Does canceling a campaign delete it?
No. Canceling only prevents it from sending. You can still clone or edit it later.
Can I pause A/B test campaigns?
Yes. Pause, resume, and cancel options work for all scheduled campaign types, including A/B tests.
Will pausing affect analytics or performance tracking?
No. Analytics are tracked from the moment the campaign is sent, so pausing beforehand has no effect.
