How to Track Leads from an Affiliate Campaign

Introduction

Tracking leads effectively is essential for maximizing the success of your affiliate marketing campaigns. By automating the process of capturing leads from forms, surveys, and calendars, you can ensure affiliates are accurately rewarded for their contributions. This guide outlines the steps to configure lead tracking within your affiliate campaigns.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the Affiliate Campaign Page

Navigate to the Affiliate Manager located under the Marketing tab in your CRM. Once there, select the Campaign Page to manage your campaigns.

Step 2: Create a New Campaign

Click the Add button to initiate the creation of a new campaign dedicated to lead tracking.

Step 3: Choose Lead Sources

Select the type of source you wish to track: Forms, Surveys, or Calendars. These sources allow seamless integration with affiliate-driven lead generation.

Step 4: Specify Source Details

Use the dropdown menu to pick the specific form, survey, or calendar you want to associate with this campaign.

Step 5: Review the Default Affiliate URL

Examine the default affiliate campaign URL generated for your campaign. If no branded domain is set up in your account, the URL will use the system domain. To use a custom domain, add it via Settings > Business Profile > Branded Domain; once added, all affiliate URLs will update automatically.

Step 6: Enable Pay Per Lead (Optional)

If you intend to compensate affiliates per lead, enable the Pay Per Lead option in the Commissions tab.

Step 7: Customize Additional Settings (Optional)

Optionally, enhance your campaign by adding descriptions, assigning affiliates, or adjusting other settings to meet your needs.

Step 8: Publish the Campaign

After reviewing all configurations, click Publish to activate the campaign.

Step 9: Monitor Tracked Leads

Once live, leads from forms, surveys, or calendars will be automatically tracked and visible under each affiliate’s profile in the Leads tab. Use the Source field to identify the origin of each lead.

Important Notes

Embedding Requirements: Lead tracking only functions when forms, surveys, or calendars are embedded as components within a funnel or webpage. Ensure proper integration before designating them as sources.

Branded Domain: To display affiliate URLs with your branded domain, you must configure it in Settings > Business Profile > Branded Domain.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can efficiently track leads generated through affiliate efforts, streamline reward processes, and enhance campaign performance. Implementing these practices will help scale your affiliate marketing strategy effectively.
