Setting Up Google for Ad Campaigns

Getting Started with Ad Manager

To begin publishing ad campaigns, you must first activate the Ad Manager feature for your account and connect your Google advertising profile. This setup involves a subscription and a one-time connection process.

Activating Ad Manager

Ad Manager is available as a monthly subscription. If you are part of an agency's account, your agency admin must first grant you permission. They can do this by navigating to Settings > Teams, editing your team member profile, and enabling the Ad Manager checkbox within the roles and permissions section.

Once permission is granted, you can activate the service. Go to Marketing > Ad Manager within your specific sub-account. Click the Activate Ad Manager button. You will then be guided to complete a payment and subscription process. This creates a recurring monthly charge to your card on file, billed through your agency's payment system.

Note: The monthly subscription fee is for access to the Ad Manager platform. Individual campaign advertising costs are billed separately by the ad network (like Google Ads) using the payment method you have on file with them.

Connecting Your Google Account

After subscribing, the next essential step is to link your Google account to enable campaign creation.

  1. Click the Connect Google button within the Ad Manager section.
  2. You will be redirected to Google's authorization page. Select the Google email address associated with your advertising accounts and grant all requested permissions to the CRM application. Allowing every permission is required for a secure and functional connection.
  3. Once connected, all Google Ad accounts linked to that Google profile will appear in a Select Ad Account dropdown menu. Choose the appropriate ad account you wish to use for your campaigns.

With these steps complete, you can click Get Started to move forward and create your first campaign.
