Understanding Campaign Status: Paused and Draft

Your CRM supports different campaign states to help you manage your marketing efforts. Two common statuses are Draft and Paused.

Draft Campaigns

A campaign saved as a Draft is not yet active. It has been created and configured but has not been started. Draft campaigns are not sending any communications to contacts. You can edit a draft campaign at any time before activating it.

Paused Campaigns

A Paused campaign is one that was previously active but has been temporarily stopped. When you pause a campaign, it will not send any further communications to contacts from the moment it is paused. Contacts who have already received emails or other actions from the campaign will not be affected, but no new actions will be triggered for any contacts still in the campaign sequence.

You can resume a paused campaign later, and it will continue from where it left off for contacts who were in the middle of the sequence.

Note: The CRM's Workflows feature provides a unified builder that encompasses the functionality of both Triggers and Campaigns. You can learn more about creating automated sequences using Workflows.
