Bulk Actions For Contacts & SmartLists
Viewing and Managing Bulk Action Status
After you initiate a bulk action for contacts or SmartLists, you can monitor its progress and manage its execution. To check the status, navigate to the main Contacts section in your CRM and locate the dedicated area for Bulk Actions. Here, you will see a list of your recent and ongoing bulk operations.
For each action, you can access a menu (often represented by a three-dot icon) which provides options to view the detailed status, such as "Processing," "Completed," or "Paused." From this menu, you can also choose to pause a currently running action if needed.
This allows you to maintain control over large-scale changes to your contact database.
Rate Limits for Adding Contacts to Campaigns
When using bulk actions to add contacts to a campaign in "drip mode" (where messages are sent at timed intervals), the system enforces rate limits based on the frequency you select.
Drip Mode Rate Limits
- For frequencies between 30 seconds and 1 minute: 1,000 messages per minute.
- For a frequency of 5 minutes: 4,999 messages per minute.
- For frequencies between 6 minutes and 10 minutes: 5,000 messages per minute.
- For frequencies above 10 minutes: 10,000 messages per minute.
Immediate and Scheduled Additions (Excluding Bulk Email)
When adding contacts to a campaign all at once or at a specific scheduled time (for actions other than bulk email), the processing speed depends on the total number of contacts:
- 0 to 25,000 contacts: approximately 60,000 contacts processed per hour.
- 25,001 to 50,000 contacts: approximately 30,000 contacts processed per hour.
- 50,001 to 100,000 contacts: approximately 24,000 contacts processed per hour.
- Over 100,000 contacts: approximately 18,000 contacts processed per hour.
Scheduling Time Limits for Bulk Actions
When scheduling a bulk action to run at a future date and time, note that the system has a maximum scheduling window. You cannot set a bulk action to start more than 720 hours (which is approximately 30 days) in the future.
