Contacts and Bulk Actions - FaQs
Why should I verify contact consent before importing?
Ensuring your contacts have consented before you bring them into your CRM is important for two key reasons:
- Maintain a positive sending reputation: Sending messages to people who haven’t agreed to hear from you often leads to higher bounce rates, spam complaints, and unsubscribes. Over time, this can harm your ability to reach even your willing audience.
- Avoid issues with purchased or shared lists: Even when a list is advertised as “opt-in,” the contacts may not be suitable for your specific outreach. People on these lists are more likely to ignore, report, or block your messages, which can lead to delivery problems or restrictions.
Which bulk actions are permanent and cannot be undone?
Some actions performed in bulk on your contacts are irreversible. Once completed, they cannot be restored or rolled back. These include:
- Bulk email sends
- Bulk email verification
- Bulk updating contacts to companies
- Bulk adding tags
- Bulk SMS messaging
It’s a good practice to double-check your selections and filters before confirming any bulk action.
