Resolving the 'Message Not Delivered Due to High-Quality User Experience' Error

Understanding the Error

You may encounter a notification stating a message was not delivered "due to high-quality user experience." This is a restriction imposed by the messaging platform (like Meta for WhatsApp) to limit promotional messaging and maintain a positive experience for users. It prevents contacts from receiving too many marketing-type messages in a short period.

Why This Happens

This error triggers when a contact has already received a certain number of marketing message templates within a 24-hour window. The platform will temporarily block additional marketing messages to that user. It's important to note that this restriction applies only to marketing templates. Other types of messages, known as utility templates, are not limited by this rule and can still be sent.

How to Fix the Issue

Option 1: Send a Utility Template

If your message is time-sensitive and must be delivered, consider using a utility template instead of a marketing template. Utility templates are for non-promotional, transactional messages like shipping notifications, appointment reminders, or account alerts. Sending a utility template will bypass the daily marketing limit.

Option 2: Wait and Retry the Marketing Template

The block on marketing messages is typically temporary. If using a utility template isn't suitable for your message, you can simply wait and try sending the marketing template again later. After some time has passed (usually a few hours), the platform's restriction may lift, allowing your original marketing message to be delivered successfully.
