Client Portal Dashboard Overview

Understanding the Client Portal Dashboard

The Client Portal Dashboard provides a central view of your client portal's user activity. From here, you can see how many clients have been invited and how many have completed registration, and you can manage their access directly.

Portal URL

At the top of the dashboard, you will find your unique Client Portal URL. You can copy this link to share with your clients. If you have configured a custom domain for your business, this URL will automatically reflect that domain.

User Status: Invited vs. Joined

The dashboard displays two key user counts:

  • Invited Users: This number represents all contacts to whom you have sent an invitation to join the portal.
  • Joined Users: This number shows the contacts who have accepted the invitation and successfully created an account in your client portal.

Available User Actions

For each contact listed, an action menu provides several options to manage their portal access.

A magic link provides one-click, passwordless access to the client portal for a specific contact. This is ideal for including in emails or messages. Important notes:

  • Magic links are generated for individual contacts and are short-lived; they will expire after a period of time.
  • If a client reports a link is not working, you will need to generate a new one from this dashboard and send it to them.
  • For automated use in workflows, use the dedicated custom value tokens that dynamically build the correct link, rather than generating links manually from the dashboard.

Invite to Client Portal

This action allows you to send a new invitation. You can invite an existing contact from your CRM or enter a new email address. The invitation email will be sent from your default email domain.

Send Login Email

This action sends an automated email to the contact containing a login button. The recipient can click this button to access the client portal without needing to enter a password. You can select multiple contacts and send the login email to all of them at once.
