Configure Certificate Expiry Reminder Email Frequency
Overview
You can now customize when you receive reminder emails about upcoming certificate expirations. Instead of using the standard notification intervals, you can set specific days before the expiry date to be reminded. This allows you to align reminder emails with your workflow and ensure you receive notifications when they are most useful.
Setting Custom Reminder Intervals
For Certificate Templates
To configure reminders for all certificates issued from a specific template:
- Navigate to the Certificates section within your account.
- Find the certificate template you want to modify and click the three dots menu next to it.
- Select Set Expiry and choose an expiry date for the template. Setting an expiry date on a template means all certificates created from it will share the same expiration date.
- For the selected expiry date, you can enable or disable reminder emails. You can choose to send one or two reminder emails.
- Specify the exact number of days before the expiry date that each reminder email should be sent.
For Individual Certificates
To set custom reminders for a specific, already-issued certificate:
- Go to the Issued certificate tab.
- Locate the specific certificate and access its settings.
- Follow a similar process to set custom reminder intervals for that individual certificate.
Important Notes
- When you select Immediately as a reminder option, the system will only send the final 'certificate expired' email on the actual day of expiry.
- Any reminder emails that were already scheduled before you made these changes will continue to use the previous default intervals (2 days and 7 days before expiry) unless you manually update them.
