Configuring the Affiliate Portal Settings

The Affiliate Portal Settings section provides control over what affiliates can access and manage within their dashboard. You can configure options such as tax form requirements, payout methods, and privacy settings to streamline your affiliate program administration.

Accessing Affiliate Portal Settings

To configure the Affiliate Portal settings:

  1. Navigate to Affiliate Manager from the left-hand menu of your sub-account
  2. Click on the Settings tab at the top of the page
  3. Select the Affiliate Portal Settings tab to view available configuration options

Available Configuration Options

You can enable or disable the following settings based on your program requirements:

Tax Form Upload Requirement

When enabled, this setting displays a banner on the affiliate dashboard prompting affiliates to upload required tax forms (such as W9 or W8). This helps maintain tax compliance and prevents delays in commission payouts.

Payout Method Setup Requirement

This setting shows a banner encouraging affiliates to configure their preferred payout method. By requiring affiliates to set up payment options like PayPal or bank transfers, you reduce manual follow-up efforts and ensure timely commission distributions.

Email Masking for Referrals

Enabling this feature protects customer privacy by partially obscuring email addresses displayed to affiliates (for example, showing john****@gmail.com instead of the full address). This is particularly useful for campaigns handling sensitive customer information.

Payout Method Configuration

This setting allows you to select which payment methods are available for affiliates to choose from. Only the payout methods you enable will be visible to affiliates in their portal, giving you control over how commissions are distributed.

Enabling and Disabling Settings

To modify any Affiliate Portal setting:

  1. Locate the toggle switch for the setting you want to change
  2. Click the toggle to enable (green) or disable (gray) the feature
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to apply your changes

Best Practices

  • Always enable at least one payout method to prevent confusion among your affiliates
  • Consider enabling email masking for campaigns that handle sensitive customer data or when you want to limit affiliate access to detailed lead information
  • Regularly review your settings to ensure they align with your current affiliate program requirements and compliance needs
