Copying Custom Objects Between Sub-Accounts Using Snapshots

Snapshots allow you to transfer custom objects—including all custom fields and their associations—from one sub-account to another. This feature simplifies the process of replicating custom data structures across multiple accounts within your CRM.

What Gets Copied

When you include a custom object in a snapshot, all its custom fields—not just primary ones—are included. Additionally, any associations that custom object has with other custom objects or with contacts are automatically included and will be recreated in the target sub-account.

How to Copy Custom Objects

Follow these steps to transfer custom objects using snapshots:

1. Go to Agency > Account Snapshots > Create Snapshot.
2. Select the custom object you wish to copy. All its fields and associations will be included automatically.
3. Choose the source and target sub-accounts for the transfer.
4. Complete the snapshot process to copy the data.

Important Limitations

Be aware of the following restrictions:

• Each snapshot can include a maximum of 10 custom objects per sub-account.
• If importing the snapshot would cause the target sub-account to exceed this limit, none of the custom objects will be created.
• Custom objects can only be copied between sub-accounts; direct export is not supported.
• Associations are included by default and cannot be modified or deselected during snapshot creation.
