Create a New Sub-Account Using a Snapshot

Overview

This article explains how to create a new sub-account that is pre-configured with a snapshot. A snapshot is a package of assets and settings. By creating a sub-account using a snapshot, you automatically load that package into the new account, which saves significant setup time and ensures all your new accounts start with a consistent foundation.

Benefits

Creating sub-accounts with snapshots offers several advantages for agency management:

  • Rapid Setup: New accounts are created with essential tools already in place, speeding up the onboarding process.
  • Uniformity: Guarantees that every new sub-account has the same core setup, maintaining brand and operational consistency.
  • Efficiency: Removes the need to manually configure each new account from scratch.
  • Accuracy: Minimizes the potential for human error during the initial setup phase.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • You must have Agency Admin user permissions.
  • The snapshot you wish to use must already exist in your agency account.
  • The snapshot should contain the specific assets you want to duplicate, such as funnels, workflows, and calendar settings.

How To Create a New Sub-Account Using a Snapshot

Step 1: Access the Account Snapshots Section

From your main Agency Dashboard, select Account Snapshots from the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.

Step 2: Choose Your Snapshot

In the list of available snapshots, find the one you want to use as the template for your new sub-account. Next to that snapshot, click the blue Create New Account button, which is represented by a plus (+) icon.

Step 3: Provide Account Details and Create

A pop-up window will appear prompting you to enter the details for the new sub-account. Fill in the required information. Once complete, click the Add Sub-Account button. The system will then create the new sub-account and automatically load the selected snapshot into it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I remove a snapshot after it has been applied to a new sub-account?

No. Once a snapshot is applied during the account creation process, it cannot be unloaded or deleted as a package. You can, however, manually delete or modify the individual assets that were copied over.

What level of access is required to perform this action?

Only users with Agency Admin permissions can create a new sub-account using a snapshot.

What kind of assets are included in a snapshot?

A snapshot can include a wide range of assets, such as funnels, forms, workflows, calendars, and general settings. The exact contents depend on what was selected when the snapshot was originally created.

Will applying a snapshot overwrite existing data in the new sub-account?

No. Because the sub-account is brand new and has no pre-existing data, the snapshot simply provides the initial setup. There is nothing to overwrite.

Can I apply multiple snapshots when creating a new sub-account?

No, you can only select one snapshot during the sub-account creation process. After the account has been created, you can manually apply additional snapshots if needed.

What is the status of funnels and websites after they are loaded from a snapshot?

Funnels and websites copied via a snapshot are imported as drafts. They will not be live or accessible to the public until you connect a custom domain and publish them within the new sub-account.
