What is Bulk Delete for Companies?

Bulk Delete is a feature within your CRM that allows you to select and permanently remove multiple Company records from the main list view in a single operation. This is ideal for maintaining a clean database by removing outdated test entries, duplicate records from imports, or companies that are no longer relevant.

How to Bulk Delete Companies

Follow these steps to remove multiple company records.

Select Companies

Navigate to the Companies section. On the list page, you will see a checkbox next to each company name. You can:

• Select individual companies by checking their boxes.
• Select all companies currently displayed on the page using the master checkbox in the table header.
• First, use the search bar or filters to narrow down the list, then select from the filtered results.

Initiate the Delete Action

Once you have selected one or more companies, a toolbar for bulk actions will appear. Click the Delete option in this toolbar.

A confirmation dialog will pop up asking you to confirm the deletion. Review the number of records to be deleted and confirm the action.

Monitor the Process

The deletion is processed as a background job. You can view the progress and see a log of the action by going to the Bulk Actions page in your account.

What Happens When a Company is Deleted?

Deleting a company record is a permanent action that removes the record and all its stored data. This removal also severs all connections and relationships associated with that company, including:

• Links to related Contacts, Opportunities, and Custom Object records.
• Associated Notes and Tasks.
• Any custom labels applied to those relationships.

Any data directly owned by the company record will be handled according to the system's standard cascade deletion rules.

How to Recover Deleted Companies

If you delete companies in error, you have a 60-day window to restore them. After 60 days, the deletion becomes permanent and irreversible.

To restore bulk-deleted companies:

1. Go to the Bulk Actions page in your account.
2. Find the row for the original deletion job. Click the three-dot menu icon on the right side of that row.
3. Select Restore from the menu and confirm in the dialog box.

The restore process will run as a new job. Once it completes, the restored companies will reappear in the main Companies list with their field data and previous associations intact.
