The mandatory profile modal is a prompt that appears when a new member joins a Community group for the first time. When enabled, this modal requires members to upload a profile picture and add a short bio before they can access the group. This helps ensure members have a complete profile upon entry.
Enable or Disable the Mandatory Profile Modal
You can control whether new members must complete their profile upon joining by adjusting the setting for each Community group individually.
Steps to Manage the Setting
- Open the desired Community group.
- Click Settings.
- Navigate to the Configuration or General section.
- Locate the Show mandatory profile modal setting.
- Choose one of the following options:
- ON – Requires new members to upload a profile picture and bio.
- OFF – Allows members to skip the profile modal and enter the group immediately.
- Save your changes.
Note: This setting only applies to members who join after the change is made.
