Enabling and Using Prospecting in Sub-Accounts

Why Use Prospecting in Sub-Accounts?

Prospecting at the sub-account level unlocks advanced lead engagement and automation capabilities that are not available at the agency level. While agency-level prospecting is suitable for lead discovery, sub-account prospecting allows you to add leads directly to your CRM contacts, trigger automated workflows for outreach, import prospects into opportunities, and send emails and SMS messages. This makes sub-account prospecting the most powerful way to manage and nurture leads.

Key Benefits of Sub-Account Prospecting

Automatically Add Prospects to Contacts

Any prospect created within a sub-account—whether manually, via a prospecting widget, or through Prospect AI—is automatically added to your CRM contact list. This enables immediate nurturing and follow-up, a feature not available when prospecting at the agency level.

Trigger Workflows for New Prospects

You can set up multiple workflows to run automatically when a new prospect is generated in a sub-account. These can include welcome emails, adding prospects to opportunities or pipelines, and other automated actions. Workflows can be triggered from various sources, including AI-generated prospects, in-app actions, and prospecting widgets.

Send Prospecting Audit Reports

You can email prospecting audit reports to your clients using custom objects within your email templates. Additionally, reports can be manually shared using the sharing option available in the tool.

How to Enable Prospecting in a Sub-Account

Method 1: From the Reselling Tab

Navigate to your agency view, open the Reselling tab, and enable the toggle option to resell prospecting.

Method 2: Direct Purchase at Sub-Account Level

Purchase Prospecting Premium directly within each sub-account where you want to use the feature.

Method 3: Upgrade from Agency Prospecting Tool

From your agency account, go to the Prospecting section and click Upgrade. Search for the sub-account name you wish to link, then continue to payment. Important: Do not select the 'continue without linking sub account' option. If you already have an active Prospecting subscription at the agency level, you can link it to a sub-account to gain access there. Once linked, you can migrate existing prospects to that sub-account.

Accessing Prospecting in a Sub-Account

After enabling, go to the sub-account, click the Marketing tab, and select the Prospecting tab from the top navigation bar.

Enabling for Multiple Sub-Accounts

To enable prospecting for more than one sub-account, go to the Reselling tab in your agency view and toggle on the Prospecting option for each. Then, visit each sub-account, navigate to the Marketing tab, and select the Prospecting tab.

Migrating Prospects from Agency to Sub-Accounts

To copy existing prospects from your agency account to a sub-account:

  1. Go to the Prospecting tab in your agency account and open Settings.
  2. Click Migrate, then select the Migrate Prospect button.
  3. Choose the target sub-account (only sub-accounts with an active Prospecting Premium subscription will be listed).
  4. Select all prospects or choose specific ones manually.
  5. Click Migrate to copy the selected prospects to the chosen sub-account.

After migration, prospects will appear in the sub-account's Prospecting tab (under Marketing) and will also remain in the agency account for future reference.
