How to Ban Members and Report Content in Communities
Managing Community Members and Content
As a community admin or owner in your CRM, you can maintain a safe and respectful environment by banning disruptive members and reviewing content reported by users.
Banning Members
When you ban a member, they are immediately removed from the community and prevented from rejoining. They lose all permissions to perform actions available to regular members.
On the Web
Navigate to the Members tab in your community. Locate the user you wish to ban, click the More options icon (or ellipsis icon) next to their name, and select Ban from group.
On Mobile
From the community homepage, tap the Manage button visible to admins. Select Members from the settings page. Find the user, tap the More options icon (or ellipsis icon), and choose Ban from group.
Reporting Content
Users can report inappropriate posts or comments. Group admins receive notifications via email, in-app alerts, and push notifications when content is reported.
How Users Report
To report a post or comment, click the More options icon (or ellipsis icon) on the item and select Report. A confirmation message will appear indicating the content has been reported.
Accessing Reported Content
On the Web: From the community homepage, go to Settings and select the Reported content tab. Here, you’ll see a list of reported items with options to Keep or Remove each one.
On Mobile: Tap the Manage button on the homepage, then choose To Review from the settings. You can review reported content and use the Keep or Remove buttons to take action.
