How to Import a Canva Design into Credentials

Importing Canva Designs into Credentials

You can create certificates and badges in Canva and import them directly into your CRM's Credentials editor. This allows you to leverage Canva's design tools while using the CRM to manage and issue your credentials.

Step 1: Access the Credentials Editor

Navigate to Membership > Credentials. Click Create, then select either Certificate or Badge to open the editor with a blank canvas.

Step 2: Open the Media Library

In the left sidebar of the editor, click the Image option. Then select Import from Media Library to open the Media Storage window, which displays your existing media files.

Step 3: Connect Your Canva Account

In the top right corner of the Media Storage window, click Connect Canva. Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the connection between Canva and your CRM account. This is a one-time setup—your account will remain connected for future imports.

Step 4: View Your Canva Projects

After connecting, locate the source dropdown menu on the left side of the Media Storage window (it defaults to My Media). Choose Canva from the list. Your Canva projects will then appear in the window.

Step 5: Import a Design to Your Media Library

Find the Canva project you wish to use. Click the three-dot menu on its thumbnail and select Import to media library. This copies the design into your media library, making it available for use in the editor.

Step 6: Add the Design to Your Certificate or Badge

Once imported, select the project from your media library and click Insert media. The Canva design will be placed on the canvas, where you can resize, reposition, or overlay additional elements as needed.

Important Notes

Changes in Canva do not sync automatically. If you modify the original design in Canva, you must re-import it to update the version in your media library.

Imported designs are image files. Any text within them is not editable in the Credentials editor—make all text adjustments in Canva before importing.
