Managing Content in Communities

The Communities feature in your CRM provides powerful tools for group administrators and members to create, manage, and engage with content through posts and channels. This system enables dynamic interactions that help build vibrant community spaces where members can share information, collaborate, and connect.

Key Content Management Features

Communities offer several components that work together to create engaging group experiences:

  • Group Channels: Thematic categories that organize discussions by topic. Only group administrators can create new channels.
  • Posts: The primary content format where members can share text, images, videos, and file attachments within specific channels.
  • Home Timeline: A central feed displaying posts from all channels, giving members a comprehensive view of group activity.
  • Video Embedding: Support for embedding videos from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and Loom directly within posts.
  • File Attachments: Ability to include images, GIFs, and other media files to enrich post content.
  • Comments and Likes: Engagement tools that allow members to respond to posts and show appreciation.
  • Content Moderation: Administrators can delete inappropriate posts, while members can remove their own content.

Creating Group Channels

Only group administrators can create new channels to organize community discussions:

  1. Navigate to your group's interface
  2. Locate and click the "Add Channel" button in the left sidebar
  3. In the modal window that appears, provide a name for your channel (for example: "Marketing Reports")
  4. Keep the channel name brief and descriptive to clearly indicate its purpose

Managing Posts

Members can create rich posts containing various media types. The system supports two different ways to view posts when accessing Communities through a web browser.

To move a post to a different channel, administrators can use the available management options to reorganize content as needed. If you need to remove a post, administrators can delete any content within the group, while members can only delete their own posts and comments.

These content management tools help maintain organized, engaging community spaces where members can effectively share information and collaborate.
